Making Cookies As Gifts
If you are not really into creating candy for the holiday season, you can always choose to make cookies. Cookies are a great part of the holidays. They can be delicious to taste after a lovely holiday dinner. They are also great to make Christmas Eve for "Santa". However, before the actual Christmas holiday comes and goes, you can make cookies as gifts for your friends and neighbors.
The best way to do this is to make homemade holiday cookies. Find an old fashioned recipe for oatmeal cinnamon cookies or for homemade chocolate chip cookies. If you take the time to make them from scratch, everyone will be able to tell the difference and love them even more. They may even be dying to have your recipe. If you really want to get fancy, you can create a recipe card for the cookies you included and tie it to the package. That way the recipient can make the cookies later in the year again for their family.
When you are finished making many batches of cookies, you will need to package them. There are several ways to do this. You can purchase inexpensive holiday tins and fill them with cookies. However, if you are in a pinch, you can always place them neatly onto a paper plate and wrap them with plastic wrap. Tie a ribbon around the package, or use a bow. This may not look the best, but it will work! Your neighbors and friends will love your cookies and likely look forward to them each year.
